Arts Connection
Arts Connection is a hands on, direct service volunteer program providing a creative and meaningful way to share time with the community in short term, fun, creative and interesting volunteer projects. Opportunities are varied each month and may include ushering for a play, assisting at a special event, helping paint a mural in a hospital or at a school, working with artists at a festival, working behind the scenes at performances or providing clerical or office services. The Arts Connection Volunteer E-Newsletter is sent to over 2,000 each month. In addition volunteer opportunities are featured on our website and updated weekly.
How can your arts group request volunteers?
It is simple to participate. All non-profit arts groups, based in South Florida are eligible to participate. Download the Volunteer Participation Form, fill it out and return it by email or by fax. To participate, your group needs to have a short term volunteer opportunity which include tasks that take 1 to 4 hours and do not require training to accomplish. We also request that the group provides volunteers with a benefit such as a free ticket to the performance, a free t-shirt, parking etc. Be creative and make the volunteer opportunities sound both meaningful and fun. If the opportunity is appropriate for families make sure to add that in your narrative. Return the form at least six weeks prior to the date(s) when you need volunteers. Not all volunteer requests can be filled but we will do our best.
