Description: Orchestra Miami is looking for friendly people to serve as ushers for the dress rehearsals and performances of our production of Mozart's The Magic Flute. On Wed, May 9th, we will perform our 10 AM dress rehearsal for 800 MDCPS students. We also have a dress rehearsal for invited guests and high school students on Wed May 9th at 7 PM. The performances are Frid, May 11th at 8 PM, Sat May 12th at 2 PM and Sun May 13th at 2 PM.

Benefits: Enjoy a spectacular performance of one of the greatest opera's in history, performed in the exquisite surroundings of the Scottish Rite Temple, and earn our eternal gratitude and thanks!

UP! MUSIC VOLUNTEER - UP! MUSIC AND ACHIEVE MIAMI

Description: Our program relies on dedicated volunteers to come in and engage our elementary students in piano, voice, percussion, recorders, wind instruments, and more! No experience in music required. Volunteers with UP! Music attend their designated site once or twice a week: Earlington Heights Elementary- 4750 NW 22nd Ave, Miami, FL 33142 Frederick Douglass Elementary- 314 NW 12TH STREET, MIAMI, FL 33136 Jesse J. McCrary Elementary- 514 NW 77th St, Miami, FL 33150

Benefits: Volunteers will further their leadership skills and work with other peers from across Miami. Volunteers will work alongside a leadership team and get a behind-the-scenes look at running a school-based program. Volunteers will also learn introductory music theory and composition.

A VERY AIRIE EVENING AT EMERSON DORSCH - A BENEFIT FOR AIRIE - AIRIE - ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE IN EVERGLADES

Description: An evening of craft cocktails, tasty bites, artist interactions, and surprise entertainment in celebration of Earth Day! 7-7:45 p.m. - VIP cocktail reception 8-9 p.m. - drinks, passed appetizers and music 9-10 p.m. - performance 1st Shift - 3-7 p.m. (open to high school students) 6-8 volunteers are needed for event set up 2nd Shift 6-11 p.m. (must be 21 and over) 10-12 volunteers are needed for the following tasks Serve pre-made drinks Usher and greet guests Sell raffle tickets Volunteers are asked to wear black cocktail attire with comfortable shoes. High school and college students may earn community service hours.

Benefits: Volunteers will earn an individual membership to AIRIE. Members benefits include invites to special members-only tours and events led by AIRIE Fellows and scientists, preferred seating at the Sundays in the Park programs and receive priority notice for upcoming AIRIE events both in the Everglades National Park and in special locations in the South Florida community. Pizza and refreshments will be available for all volunteers. Volunteers during the event will be given a 30 minute break to enjoy the event.

SHAKESPEARE'S BIRTHDAY BASH CELEBRATION - SHAKESPEARE MIAMI

Description: Volunteers are needed to help with a fun cultural family day in the beautiful Barnacle Historic State Park. This annual free event features activities for all ages, Including the Shakespeare dress up photo booth, Tea with Mrs Shakespeare, Kid jousting, sword fighting lessons and more. The day ends with a staged reading of A Midsummer Night's Dream. We are looking for individuals and families to welcome guests, lead activities and help at the info/merch table. This is a rare volunteer activity where family groups are encouraged to participate as a family. A 10 year old can help out at the arts table or the Shakespeare dress-up area. Teens can assist with the kid jousting and renaissance games. Adults can help serve at Tea with Mrs Shakespeare, and the Elizabethan dance party, and more.

Benefits: Benefits include free parking, tea and other refreshments and the chance to volunteer at a fun event with your family. All ages welcome. High school students may receive community service hours.

Description: Miami Young Adult Christian Theater is seeking a Public Relations Professional to assist with event promotion. Volunteers will only be asked to donate 30 minutes of their time per week to assist with updating the MYACT website, reaching out to existing and new clients as well as business partners, and promotion of our summer concert at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center.

Description: Orchestra Miami is seeking friendly people to pass out programs, pass out and collect surveys and accept donations at the gate at our annual Beethoven on the Beach free outdoor concerts. There are three concerts: Friday, March 9th, 8 PM @ Pinecrest Gardens (11000 SW 57 Ave); Saturday, March 10th, 8 PM at North Beach Bandshell (7275 Collins Ave) and Sunday, March 11th, 6 PM at Gateway Park (151 SIB Boulevard). Free parking at all venues. Please note, that these are outdoor concerts, so if you do not enjoy being outdoors, this is not for you!

Benefits: You get to hear a wonderful concert, and will earn our eternal gratitude!

Come be a part of magical experiences that include world-renowned artists, dazzling concerts and the sweeping shapes of Frank Gehry, all in the heart of Miami Beach. Support the arts by sharing your time and energy as volunteers, guides and in many other areas. Make new friends, learn about classical music and gain the satisfaction of helping where you are needed. Come be a part of the New World Symphony Volunteer Corps for the 2017-18 Season! Positions available include: 1. Tour Docent – guiding small tours through the New World Center 2. Usher – assisting guests to their seats and handing out programs 3. Ticket Taker – scanning tickets at the doors before a performance 4. Lobby Ambassador – greeting guests and handing out programs before a performance and during intermission.

Benefits: As a benefit to all volunteers, we invite our volunteers to take a vacant seat in the performance hall to enjoy the performance or event. There is a 10-hour minimum amount of hours required to volunteer in a season.

Description: Miami short Film Festival is a film festival based in Miami, Florida that features short films of 20-minutes or less each. A growing movement to exhibit and expand the art form of short film making providing a venue to build community around the arts. We are seeking motivated young professionals (preferrably ages 24+) to volunteer at our monthly film screenings. These individuals will be ushering and greeting guests, managing the ticket booth and assisting the film makers. The screenings take place on the last Wednesday of every month between 7 and 10 PM.
